Dear Lactnet Friends:

Alyssa Schnell writes to ask about a policy for a foster mother to
breastfeed. What a new frontier to seek to overcome.

I don't know of any. There is a video from Ayla Birth (<
http://www.aylabirth.org/>) that speaks to educate foster mothers to use
milk pumped by an incarcerated mother. This is another frontier.

Maybe a place to look would be in the adoptive world? Can a mother seeking
to adopt legally breastfeed before the adoption is final?

warmly,
