Hi everyone,
Thought that some here might be interested in a paper that I recently had published with some venerable colleagues on the importance of sexed language (including ‘women’ and ‘mothers’) in communications regarding pregnancy, birth, lactation, breastfeeding, and newborn care. The paper is written from an explicitly global perspective and is intended to assist individuals and organisations to think about language usage for themselves and to avoid pitfalls and unintended consequences. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fgwh.2022.818856/full <https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fgwh.2022.818856/full>
