We face the same quandary each  spring Dick!  We work hard to produce top
quality nucs with beautiful young queens in full lay.   On one hand, we
make a large portion of our living from selling replacement nucs to those
who inadequately manage their hives.  On the other hand, it breaks our
hearts to know that we're sending some off to certain death.

Last year we started handing out an alcohol wash cup to each buyer.  I also
teach a number of beginners classes each season--everyone who attends one
of my classes leaves knowing the full implications of not managing varroa.
