Hello, lactation colleagues around the world.
Permission to post from a friend: She was diagnosed with hypoplasia and
lactation failure after the birth of her first baby, who was mostly
formula-fed; now she's about 20 weeks pregnant with her second baby and
again, has not felt any changes in her breasts.
She wants to know if there is anything she can do now, prenatally, to
enhance her lactation for the coming baby. She lives in the Seattle area
with access to a wide array of practitioners and is open to
holistic/alternative therapies. Very motivated to provide as much of her
own milk as she can.
I know nothing about this. Ideas? Anecdotes? References or referrals? Feel
free to email me directly. Thank you in advance!
Sincerely,
Julie-Ann Toalston, BA
