Good question for the Infant Risk Center!  I do know that infants ' livers process caffeine slowly in the beginning, so probably the reason for caution.I looked in the food contaminants file. 1/2 of the articles (9) were on caffeine.  From 1983 to 2018. Most cite 300mg daily, not with caffeine as a drug. Pat in SNJ
