Hi all!!! I was approached by an RN who recently went to a CBC course. She stated that their instructor said there is new evidence about pumping with nipple shields. She said that since the nipple shields are so thin that it’s no longer necessary to pump after feedings to promote good milk supply. I checked the Medela website (our supplied brand) and it still recommends pumping after feeding.

Just looking for any new evidence to support this? It would be awesome if this was true so that moms who have to use shields don’t get so overwhelmed. Thanks for any help! I appreciate all of you!
