I am looking to institute less stressful bathing techniques for the
newborn's first bath. We are switching to immersion bathing. Currently,
our hospital does a sponge bath at over 24 hours of life and baby goes skin
to skin with mom afterward. For those of you that work with newborns and
do imersion baths, what kind of bathtub do you use? Infection control
would want us to have one that is single use, that is one that would go
home with the baby. I am looking at inflatable ones, since space is also
an issue.
Thanks in advance for any guidance,

Polly Westra, R.N., IBCLC
so happy to learn so much from daily readings of this wonderful digest!
