I've been on Lactnet a long time, can't remember exactly when I got hooked.  I remember wearing tee-shirts and walking around at ILCA giving out sign up for Lactnet  info.
Auerbach & Bruce had the best idea and I'm so glad it continues on (even if I have a big mouth;-)  Pat in SNJ
