> How does one compare a bacteria that will multiply to this concept? Not sure how one applies that LD factor or a reproducing organism?

I was referring to the *toxins* produced by the bacteria. Some of the most toxic substances on the planet are produced by living organisms to kill their competitors or predators. Like anthrax, nicotine, rattlesnake venom, etc.
