Amy,
I have been referring babies for bodywork for over 20 years, usually to a ped chiro, often to osteo and less often to CSTs (although where there are CFTs, I often refer to them). At this point, almost 100% of my clients are seeing someone for bodywork (I see a lot of kids with tongue-tie and complex breastfeeding issues and IMO it is essential). I have also taught extensively with Sharon Vallone DC, especially at tongue-tie conferences and am trained myself in CFT. I have recommended CFT to other IBCLCs (depending on their credentials and the laws in their states) and all who have taken the course have loved it. Kim Sherlock is one of the trainers and her link is below. She is not far from you. (I have no financial involvement in CFT).

Subject: CST

Hello,

I
am fascinated by the positive comments that I regularly hear from Lactnetters
about the effectiveness of CST/body work in promoting a baby's ability to
effectively breastfeed. Unfortunately to my knowledge there are no
practitioners available in my immediate area. I am interested in learning more
and am hoping for feedback. Is the technique evidence based? Are there
different methods? Any recommendations for training?

Thanks for any
input!

Take care,

Amy
