I, too, have noticed the big drop off on Lactnet.
I have stayed on Lactnet despite some unpleasant experiences.
I was recently taken to the shed by the List Owners for asking for case studies/vignettes from LCs regarding experiences with patients abusing drugs.
Why?: because I wanted to include them in a book I am writing on recreational drug use and treatments during pregnancy and breastfeeding. I was accused of promoting my book when my goal was, as always, to do what is best for breastfeeding women.
Who wants to stay on a List where one cannot use it to help breastfeeding women who desperately need that help?
By the way, in the end, I give so many of these books away to help students and mothers, and with the very small royalty I make, I have not made money on any of my books.
Again, despite what happened to me, I am sad to see Lactnet becoming less relevant.
