Dear Lactnet Friends:
In 1989, the WHO published a little blue book entitled "Protecting,
Promoting and Supporting Breastfeeding." On page 7 of that little book, it
says that something like "under normal circumstances, the health term
newborn can go 4 days without food or drink , while lactation is being
established."
