I know a lot of people do it and there's not been any known adverse reactions. I have to say that I too am concerned about the use of these products with medically fragile babies. Sometimes things that are probably okay with healthy full-term babies like fenugreek, are not so okay with preemies. We don't really know if these creams could impact them. Could they cause an allergic reaction? People can be allergic to anything. Could it impact their gut flora? Who knows? It's not really been studied. Maybe they are harmless. Does she really need it? Sometimes I find these oils harden and cake inside the tubes. Perhaps the patients have the pumps turned up too high if they are having a lot of friction?
