Dear Lactnet Friends:

Marijuana is no more dangerous to babies than tobacco.

There are no reports of deaths from overdosing or sickness from marijuana,
unlike alcohol and tobacco.

After reading the research, I ask the skeptics to substitute the word
"tobacco" for "cannabis" in any research study. The results will be the
same.

A baby positive for THC is not high; a person positive for THC is not high
for long. This is the tricky part of cannabis use: a person can smoke once
at a party, and test positive for THC for a month. They will be under the
influence for the party, and clear and grounded for the month.

Classifying cannabis with heroin and PCP, plus movies like "Reefer Madness"
have skewed attitudes about this herb.

warmly,
