Peppermint is known for anti-galactogogue properties, and 2-3 cups per day is worrisome, at least to me. A better choice of tea would be fennel (or caraway, or dill, or anise...) all of which are anti-flatulent *and* lactogenic. I don't have any good research on this, only mentions of its reputation/use. Perhaps you might want to show her these links? Because she will be liable if someone struggles and then learns that they were given anti-galactogogues postpartum by the hospital. If asked, I would recommend at least 3 cups a day to help reduce/suppress lactation. In the one quoted below, the author cautions to use only 1/2 cup "as needed" to deal with engorgement. That should help set a standard....
