Does anyone her have ANY information or experience with this?
Mother is to start a six month course of chemo before surgery, and will
have radiation for six months post surgery. She has been advised in no
umcertain terms that she should suppress lactation completely as her
treatment team fears the chemo will be less effective in a lactating breast
and they don't really prioritize (or understand her desire for) maintaining
milk production in the other breast when the chemo means she will not be
able to let her baby have her milk for these six months. Baby is newborn,
ca was discovered in week 37 of pregnancy and she was induced a few days
later to enable treatment. No metastases found on MR or skeletal
scintography.
All responses welcome :)
