Hi Alexandra,
I don't consider embryogenesis abnormalities necessarily hormonal, just as we don't consider so many congenital issues such as trisomy 21, single umbilical artery, etc to be hormonal. In addition there are women with acquired insufficient glandular tissue, from surgery, burns, radiation.

Hi Anne,
Thank you so much for your comment. I will definitely keep IGT in mind, but isn't IGT also caused by endocrine disruption, dysfunction, or insufficiency? If the breasts do not develop properly during one of the stages (embryogenesis, puberty, pregnancy), doesn't that necessarily have an endocrinologic etiology?
Feel free to message me directly but wanted to respond to the listserv.
