This is the paper, which is no surprise given it came from the ENTs--look at the z-plasty done for a simple TT.

I agree with what Marta and Jane wrote.
There are problems with the 
research regarding techniques that impact
conclusions. In my own 
personal effort to bring attention to this issue, I
wrote a letter to 
a pediatric otol journal that I hope will alert people to
the bigger
picture.
