The hospital "should" supply sterile equipment to store the milk in. In the long run if mom brings in colostrum it will save them $. In the grand scheme of things syringes are cheap. Another really good (I have no financial interest) possibility are Snappies. They have 11ml colostrum collectors. They are aseptic and decrease the risk of contamination and risk of infection. Again, ultimately saving the hospital $. just goggle snappies. Pat in SNJ
