Hi ,

I'd love to hear some about this as well. I am just back in Brazil from Canada and still trying to figure things out around here. I am sorry I am not in Rio, but in Bahia and I am still working on my IBCLC status. I heard about GAMA in Rio, an ONG that offers a variety of courses, including lactation but I have no aditional info about it. Maybe people from there can let your friend know who can help her. As far as I know, unfortunately, there's no regulation for lactation consultants here. According to "Ato Médico", procedures like this are restricted to dentists and MDs. Good luck to your friend,

Camila Valente, RN
