There are many reasons for burning breast/ nipple pain. These are :
vasospasm, mammary constriction syndrome, thoracic vertebral misalignments
that can impinge on intercostal nerves 3, 4, and 5 (that enervate the
nipple), contact dermatitis, bacterial infection, compression from
oversupply, and high intra-oral vacuum exerted by the baby during feeds.
