Hi!
I put on my family doctor hat and concur with Debra: 800 mg of ibuprofen
every four hours IS TOO HIGH A DOSE. I would discuss this with her and her
MD as soon as possible. Lower (and correct) dose of an antinflammatory drug
combined with another analgesic like acetaminophen can help.
I would consider, also like Debra, candidosis at this point: burning pain
plus raw-feeling nipple AFTER TWO WEEKS of an antibiotic like Augmentin...
Soft, gentle massage and warmth on the breast, to get some positive feel
information into those raw, pained nerves, and some streches of the
pectoral muscles are usually always helpful too... The pain makes tissues
contract, and this can reduce blood flow and perpetuate the pain.
