PTP. Client woke with a UTI. Doc prescribed Macrobid (nitrofurantoin)
which he assured mother is safe for bf . Baby is one week and exclusive
bf. Hale Guide says L2, baby ingests 6.8% of maternal dose, warns against
giving before 1 month if baby is jaundiced, but lists no effects on baby
(and no drug alternative). Worried mother will continue bf while taking
meds but just wants to know what to look for.rash or some behavior change,
if baby should be affected. Does anyone have info on this?

Thanking this grand group.
