What kind of difficulties is the baby having in feedings? Is it a baby feeding problem or lack of supply from mom? Is the baby having any stridor, changes in color while feeding, or losing weight? Head extension while feeding may help. I have worked with several babies with Laryngomalacia. It is worse between 2-4 months. Most do okay and will grow out of it. Sometimes HCP's don't see the cyanosis with a feeding because they don't actually observe a feed. Watch for color changes during feeds and lack of weight gain or loss of weight, call the doctor if any of these are noted.Good luck,Donna Goggin-Dolwick, RN, BSN, IBCLC
