Weird question of the day. I usually have one. Lactnet is the group 'lucky'
enough to hear it today.

I have a son with an infected toe (ingrown toenail removed plus skin,
cauterized on Friday).

A friend of mine is giving me breastmilk so we can use it topically on the
skin. We have the usual anti-bac ointment but it isn't strong enough. He
doesn't have a fever.

How would you use it? The 4 oz I am receiving has to last (no soaking the
toe in the milk). I thought just dripping it on and let it air dry would be
the best way. Repeat as necessary.

Has anyone else used breastmilk topically for skin infections? I know it
will help. I'm not sure on the best way to do it.

Suggestions?

Thanks for letting me be weird :P
