one box of Chris Mulford's paper to go thru. Today's find is a 1993 article from the AU Journal Essence. The article is about BFing a Toddler.
One captioned set says BFing your toddler can provide:
31% of his daily energy needs,
38% of protein requirements,
45% of Vit A requirements, and
95%. of Vit C needs.
But the best part of the article was another section labeled "Always wished you had the right come-back for questions such as 'Are you still breastfeeding?'
Here's a few to try out.
"How much longer are you going to breastfeed that child?"
About 10 more minutes on this side.
Good question, I'll let you know when I find out.
Until she's at University - unless they can figure out a way to do it by email.
As long as it takes to convert the entire western world to long-term breastfeeding.
Till Thursday.
Until he's done.
I don't know. I can't find my calendar.
"Are you still breastfeeding?"
Yes, isn't it wonderful?
Yes, we're so lucky.
Are you still asking?
"Isn't he too old for breastfeeding?"
Actually no. I'd love to talk about it. Do you have time for coffee?
What? And give up this bustline?
He doesn't sleep though the night. He doesn't like solid food. He sleeps in our bed. We carry him all the time. We don't believe in spanking.
I'm only trying to be consistent!
If he can't depend on his mother, on whom can he depend?
Oh, my children are weaned. This is my sister's baby.
The article is by Barbara Glare, just as true now as 15 years ago. (I imagine her kids are finished college by now, LOL)
