My daughter had very persistent thrush with a previous baby (toddler).
After
gentian violet, nystatin (X2) and diflucan (X2) she had it cultured to
confirm thrush...shocked all of us including the breastfeeding medicine doc
when it came back as thrush! But thrush it was...finally "cured" or back
in balance with large clumps of coconut oil (teaspoon size) on the nipple
after every nursing using disposable nursing pads and a new one each
time and daily trips to the tanning booth for a week. She only stayed
under lights for 10 minutes. She would have used sunshine but it was
winter in the Pacfic Northwest! Good luck...it's a rough road with thrush.
