Hello,
I was a a LactNet member about 2002ish for a few years after passing IBCLC. I used this site as reference to enhance our breastfeeding support in our LDRP setting. As well as valued, clinical knowledge to learn from so many experienced members. I stopped using just due to a position change as a charge nurse and numerous emails. I also let IBCLC lapse as I was not in a specific role.
I rejoined this year, I now an LC in a community hospital- LDRP. Passed IBCLC in 2014. LactNet it very different, and my thought it the Internet!! I think many just refer to searches or trusted sites rather than LactNet references.
I didnt' know there was even a group on Facebook.
I dont' find as much response on here as I recall before. I posted a question and only 3 responses surprised me. I did research in my books, and searched archives (didn't find anything) but just thought someone would have had mom with similar experiences. I often don't post as I can find information in the archives.
I value this site tremendously, the knowledge from vast experiences, skills, clinical practices and general information is so beneficial to me!
