I have been recommending moringa for over a decade, long before GoLacta was on the market. My clients used to order it from an Indian market online. I would like to suggest that IBCLCs make it a priority to become acquainted with the foods and herbs that support milk supply. I have very few clients ever even consider domperidone anymore (and none take reglan) because we can use food, homeopathy and herbs with excellent outcomes. I have helped mothers wean off domperidone with moringa. We have an obligation to be familiar with and IMO competent with these nutrients if we are to be considered skilled providers. It is not okay, IMO that mothers need to get their best breastfeeding advice on FB, AFTER they have already seen one or more IBCLCs.

I belong to an online mother support group and a lot of the mothers on there
(membership is over 4,000 moms) have used this. Many have found it to be very
helpful and swear by it. I have only heard a handful of moms say they didn't get
any results with this. That is the extent of my experience with it.

>>This morning I heard for the first time about a supplement called " Moringa".
The mother of a 6 month old breastfed baby is concerned about her supply, and
someone told her about using Moringa as a galactogogue. Wikipedia says it has
been used in cows and shown to increase milk production. Any feedback about this
substance and its use with human mothers would be appreciated, as I have no
experience with it at all.
