This is connected to my previous post. wondering what ppl's thoughts are on the following: would you suggest using a pacifier for a 2 wk old baby who currently is not at breast. he is orally defensive., but making steady progress on a finger. he is also starting to express interest in the breast, but will not latch yet. (previously he went straight to sleep when put to breast). I am thinking that using a pacifier could support him getting used to something in his mouth, but am obviously aware of the negative aspect of it, particularly here where he could get accustomed to silicone. any insight appreciated
