Hello,
Can you please share how your mother baby unit and OB providers are managing the recommendation of no more than 40 mg of Oxycodone in 24 hours for moms who are breastfeeding?
We are having some confusion in regard to this Hale recommendation. It was previously interpreted that for the first few days, the infant was not at risk due to the low volumes but it seems that the newer data and recommendations are that no more than 40mg in 24 hours is for all breastfeeding moms- regardless of the stage of breastfeeding.
We are using the Oxycodone for our C/S pain management along with Torodol and Acetaminophen.
Your reviews much appreciated,
Ginny
