I am very concerned about a 5 week old baby who had bowel surgery soon after birth. BW was 5#11. DOB 6/8. Lowest weight we know of was 5#7oz. Baby left hospital 7/6 after surgery at 6#2oz (1 month) and I saw on the 11th (4 1/2 weeks) - was still at 6#2. Seen again on the 15th - still 6#2oz. (mom is breast and bottle feeding). Baby has a very weak suck/no milk transfer, I wanted to see if she would at least take something - which she did - 1oz of formula. I called the doctor on the 11th with concerns (he did not contact her nor did she go in) then called him again on the 15th - insisted mom take baby to the doctor to be seen. Mom did - doctor said baby was 6#4oz - and he will see in a week. I am so worried about this baby - she does not look good at all.
