Hi Sue,
Here is what I would probably try
-- laid back or football hold, as I feel baby can control flow better in
these positions
-- if not too difficult to do, get a pre/post feed weight to see if indeed
baby is transferring very large volumes in short period of time
-- upright skin to skin holding for 30 minutes after a breastfeed (might
help if having reflux)
-- yes I would try block feeding, after full breast drainage (that might
help tell you if mother has an unusually large supply), and I would start
with 3 or 4 hr blocks
-- I believe that babies with tongue tie have difficulty with GI
peristalsis, as peristalsis starts with the tongue. So I think reflux can
go with the TT.
-- if not too difficult to do, and is symptoms persist, some medical
investigation into reflux
