Look into mammary constriction syndrome. Edith Kernerman who works with
Dr. Jack Newman in Toronto is studying this phenomenon. It has to do
with muscle spasms of the pectoral muscles. I can be due to poor
posture when breastfeeding/pumping and/or pre-existing muscle issues.
She has a series of stretching exercises to alleviate symptoms.
