I am pleased you brought this up for discussion. I am a LC in a level 2
Neonatal Unit in NZ. It is common practice to heat breastmilk in warm
water in Neonatal Units in New Zealand and it is what we do in our unit
.It is a practice that concerns me as I am sure sometimes the milk is
over heated.  I am very interested in others responses as to what
happens in other Neonatal Units and I would like to look into purchasing
milk warmers in the future as a safer option.
