Hi, Carol-
Thanks for the up-date, but I do not believe you ever said what his birthweight was?
And how old is he now?
There are babies who can fool you into thinking they are eating a lot when they are not. I call them "spit swallowers". They swallow and gulp and you put them on the scale and it proves they took very little. He really needs to have weights done before and after feedings to know how much he is transferring. Is the scale you are renting sensitive to 0.2 oz? If so, you could use that.
<<So, he weighed 7-9 yesterday. We're going to get a scale for twice weekly weights. I'm thinking that the block nursing(He appeared to have a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance) possibly decreased her milk supply? I watched him nurse on Sunday and he was gulping and transferring lots of milk! Thanks for all the input! Carol>>
