THANK YOU for Lactnet!
Lactnet has been an important part of my professional life and continuing
development as a lactation consultant. Most of my career has been as a
lone IBCLC in a hospital setting. Lactnet kept me grounded, expanding my
knowledge base and expertise, and kept me aware and respectful of varying
viewpoints from professionals and parents.
I, too, am retiring from active lactation consulting. I am fortunate to be
able to turn my job over to a very talented, committed, enthusiastic, and
caring person, so I can relate to your confidence in leaving Lactnet in
capable hands. This work for us is not just a career, but it is a
calling. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time helping moms and babies. Now I
look forward to retirement and the new adventures that await.
It was my privilege to meet both you and Kathleen Auerbach. I am very
grateful that your career led you to start this important communication
tool for the lactation world.
