We do not have craniosacral therapists for babies available here, so I have not been able to refer to them.
The vast majority of babies with an anterior tongue-tie improve dramatically immediately after release without any "bodywork" in my experience.
The posterior ties are another story, unfortunately. We have exactly one study looking at clipping them. But in some instances, clipping a small submucosal frenulum will make an instant difference in pain and/or milk removal.
I am not saying bodywork is not helpful. I wish I had someone I COULD refer babies to, especially for the babies whom clipping is not helpful or only partially helpful. I am just saying it is not always necessary.
