Dear Lactnet Friends:
I second Karen Foard's post about actually attending, in person, a
conference and being with other people. An on-line conference is nice, but
is no substitute for relationship.
The same is true for on-line presenting, where I wear a headset and talk
out loud in an empty room.
Technology substituting for relationship is never quite as good.
We see that in our work with mothers and babies; it is true in our work
with each other.
warmly, from my generation to those coming next.
