Brenda,
Can this mom defer work for a couple of more weeks since she's having
difficulty? Her midwife/OB can write a letter and pedi as well. Some of the
suggestions I wrote for Pat's post could be tried, too. Similar in that mom
is stressed, baby is stressed. Can mom feed baby during the day? Go home
or have baby brought to her? What a shame that here's a premie who had a
rough start, as did mom, and little one is nursing well but lack of
maternity leave throws everything off kilter; sorry but it makes me so angry.

Wondering if anyone can help me this beautiful morning on a subject that
comes up once in a while - I have a mom whose 6-week premature infant was
taking bottles just fine in the SCN. She came home and baby was breastfeeding
like a champ. Mom returns to work in a week and can't get the baby, now 10
weeks old, to take a bottle. She is very stressed. I told her to try cup
feeding. She is wondering if there is a video she can watch which will assist.
Any ideas? Thanks.
