Dear Lactnet Friends:

Kathy Lilleskov's post is eloquent. I love this statement, "Nothing in the
world is more important than the need a baby has for the light that
emanates from a mother's heart."

However, we are working with a relationship, between two people. The baby's
needs are an important part of that relationship.

Our job is to support both.

This is the delicate, respectful intention behind our choice of
intervention, in our response to the mother's needs, and our awareness that
the fate of the baby's future life lies in its mother's heart.

warmly,
