Kathleen, medical grade honey is irradiated in order to destroy any
botulism spores. What's nice about medical grade honey is that it exerts
antimicrobial action against a broad spectrum of fungi and bacteria,
bacteria cannot develop resistance to it, and it penetrates biofilms which
can protect bacterial colonies from bactericidal agents. Previous
