Christine, I would love to hear more about this if is is true. I know Medicare has readmission criteria for certain medical diagnoses, that state they will not cover re-hospitalizations within 30 days of, say, pnuemonia, congestive heart failure, and a few others. I will hunt around to ask our Perinatal Core Measure ladies in QI, but that would be HUGE if it were true.
