Melinda and Lisa, I doubt if it would look crusty. The appearance of
psoriasis of the nipples is different. Has the mother been investigated for
a bacterial infection? In a recent post I provided a reference for a very
useful article by dermatologists (Heller and colleagues) that describes a
number of causes of sore nipples. Have a look in the archives.
