I would also like to hear more about the idea that Mom's supply increases to protect a baby that cannot transfer well. I completely agree that some babies with poor abilities to transfer milk (for whatever reason) may rely on Mom's oversupply, but I do not understand they dynamic involved with the claim that Mom's body can compensate with oversupply to protect the baby who does not transfer well. If this is the case, why do some babies with restrictive frenulae lack the ability to drive supply and have moms with low supply? Isn't it just that the baby happened to be lucky and Mom has something else going on that causes oversupply?
