Thanks, Nikki. I have seen so many exclusively bf babies who are "obese" but that is normal - I can think of any number of them who turned out to be fine and thin as they grew older. It's harder to think of exclusively bf babies I know who WEREN'T "obese"!!

Subject: Obese breastfed infant



Dear Lactnet Friends:



This mother has answered her own question: "Mother reports her other child was an "obese" baby as well and then thinned out as she grew." Especially when all the labwork is normal and this baby is acting fine.



There are those breastfed babies that are huge. When they start running around, they lengthen and get thin.
