PTP: Mom of 8 mo old twins - So today at work I had an accidental needle stick to my finger. Luckily the patient has no known diseases but we are waiting for blood work to confirm that (they test for hep b & c and HIV). Not sure how long I will have to wait- probably a few days. The infectious disease dr at the office I work for said the risk if transmission is very low even if the patient does have something...but my question is what do I do about feeding my babies? Does anyone have any info on disease transmission to breast milk? What would you guys do??
