I talk to them, acknowledging their concerns and then reminding them that
their baby has already had a heel prick to draw blood - and that clipping a
TT is no more and possibly less painful, and over quickly.

My suggestion is to connect hestitant moms with a number of moms who have
been there, done that with the TT revision.. those moms can share about how
yes, it was a hard decision to make, but how it made such a huge impact on
their ability to breastfeed. I think this is definitely one area where moms
may be more willing to trust peers than one LC saying it's beneficial..
Just my two cents as a LLLL (at whose meetings this kind of discussion
happens frequently)
