Thank you, Jennifer. The baby is not breastfeeding and the mother isn't
expressing or pumping - but she is planning to work towards relactating. So
the amount of milk would be small initially.

I am not sure about the larch in the GTox Express, but everything else is
fine. I don't think the Immunocare is from Metagenics. It is basically plant
sterols--anti-oxidants. If this is an older baby, I personally would not be
concerned. Too bad the ND does not have info I would expect him to have.

Subject: naturopathic product safety and breastfeeding
Dear wise ones,
Does anyone have information on the following naturopathic products that a
mother has asked me about?
SB Dysbiosis, Ultra Flora Restore, G Tox Express, Immunocare and Super
Mushroom
Compex (Metagenics brand). Apparently the first two are probiotics, which a
naturopath has recommended because of recent lengthy antibiotic therapy. The
naturopath didn't have information as to whether the G Tox and Immunocare
are
safe while breastfeeding and I couldnt find either in Hale. They appear to
be
product names within the particular brand.
If you have relevant training and/or experience as regards these products,
I'd
be glad of your comments. The quantity of milk will be marginal at this
stage.
