PTP- I wish to get a better understanding ad guidance on the hormonal
process going on in this case.

34 yo G1P1 mom, 7 weeks PP, home birth, hx of celiac just diagnosed 3 years
ago-no intestinal villa on biopsy. Gluten free after diagnosis and
spontaneous pregnancy. "Some breast growth" during pregnancy. No birth
control since 2003. Started on Reglan by pediatrician and then domperidone
by midwife after infant's weight loss 2 weeks of life. I started her on
probiotics due to infant's constipation at 2 weeks of life with no bm x 5
days.

Week 3 PP-Prolactin levels 227. TSH 2.2, no anemia, HCG serum- neg

Infant with maxilla lip frenulum and posterior lingual frenulum released
and 2 CST treatments (pushed x 4 hours). On Donor milk and Nature's one
formula along with probiotics. Gaining weight yet with bouts of
constipation 3x after being on probiotics for a month.

Mother has been on domperidone 80mg/day x month. Milk supply dropped from
30ml to 6ml in 2 WEEKS! Breastfeeding 8x/day and pumping after every
feeding. Had one episode of brief plugged duct 2 weeks ago.

Mom to get her prolactin rechecked but not sure if that's necessary. Am I
missing something? Does it make sense to get estrogen, progesterone and FSH
checked?

What effect does celiac have on  the breast structure and hormonal prep
during pregnancy? Would it have an effect? Could the breast have already
been lacking structure. There is nothing definitive to the look of the
breast to indicate hypoplasia.  Even if she has IGT, why would her milk
supply be dropping at 6/7 weeks pp with Dom, was on Milk plus Special Blend
and nursing/pumping 7-8x/day?
